About EANN

EANN has more than 3000 members all over Europe.

There are 16 member countries and a number of individual members. As a member of your national association of neuroscience nurses you automatically are member of EANN. EANN''s goals are on the themes of research and education. EANN stimulates neuroscience-nursing research and EANN works on neuroscience nursing care to be delivered by competent neuroscience nurses. We want neuroscience nursing to be recognized as a specialty in Europe by the public and the healthcare systems.

EANN stimulates neuroscience nursing knowledge to be available to all neuroscience nurses in Europe. This is a huge job to do and your national association together with EANN need the help of all colleagues in the field of neuroscience nursing, including nurses, researchers and educators. At the patient's bedside, in research and education, in the national associations or in EANN, in the end we all work for our patients. By sharing knowledge and experience we can improve our profession, our education and the quality of care for our patients. Therefore we need your membership, your idea's, your inspiration, your knowledge and experience and we offer you a European platform to share, to learn and to communicate.

The EANN website is part of this platform, but also the possibilities for exchange projects and the international congress we have every four years. Furthermore EANN works on the NeuroBlend project. NeuroBlend is web based and provides for a competence based blended learning framework. It is based on the European Competence Profile of a neuroscience nurse and the European curriculum.

In addition, NeuroBlend offers a communication platform for national associations and for focus groups, for example on research and education.
